Where should I live??
I'm sooooooo indecisive! ---I live in NY, presently. I thought I might like to move to somewhere in California, but now I'm not sure. Then I thought maybe Chicago. Or Toronto in Canada. But I'm not sure. ---Then I got SO indecisive that I decided these places might be too expensive to be worth it. I don't know!! So I started thinking maybe Portland, Oregon. But really---I just have no idea! A little background: ---I'm a female in my early 20's ---I DJ for a living, doing bars/clubs and weddings, etc. (I do mostly electro music when i do bars.) So I need to move to a city that has a hip young bar scene. What I want to know is: Where do you/have you lived that you would recommend to someone of my age (early 20's) and with my job (disc jockey)?

- move to Boston and become a red sox fan and plus fenway has all the clubs and like 10 colleges
- What about Baltimore.
- Come to Los Angeles, CA. The night life here is great. The "cost of living" is cheaper here than it is in New York.
- You should live in Naugatuck, Connecticut. its the best place ever!!
- I think your best option if you want to keep your type of profession is moving to south California. I've lived there, Boston, Chicago, Sydney and Brisbane Australia and Auckland, New Zealand. If you want to buy a house the market right now is great, or just renting is a great option too, but try looking for some places in South California.
- You should come to Panama City, Fl. things are affordable and it's a very happening place. Orlando is crowded and expensive. Out west in Tucson, Az. is o.k. Don't go to Pueblo, Colorado....there's not much there. New Mexico is groovy but hard to find a place to live. I personally enjoy it here at the beach.
- Almost anywhere is better than Detroit...except maybe Flint.
- Philadelphia! Has everything you want and you can still get back to NYC for visits.
- You need to go to a city that is flooded with college students. I am from New England, and Boston is one of those cities. College students are always out at night and always up at the clubs. You probably want to get farther away from NY, so I'd do research and find some cities that have tons of college students and the younger generations. If you still are considering California, LA would be a great place, too, because there's college students as well as tons of young adults trying to pursue careers in acting/singing, etc. My cousin lives out there and he says it's a city for 20-30 year olds - they're everywhere. The thing is, it's hard to find a job out there, because of the overcrowding, and it's also very expensive. Just do some research and see where the most college students are and what types of clubs are around, and you'll figure it out. Good luck!
- The Denver metro area has one of the per-capita young adult populations in the US. It's big enough to have clubs down in lower downtown (LoDo) and in the suburbs that fit your needs, and tons of young adults. Cost of living is cheaper - you could get a really great 2 bedroom downtown loft for what you pay for a small studio in a bad neighborhood in NYC. There's lots to do - nightlife, hiking, skiing, shopping, concerts, tons of sports teams, and the job market is still okay out here.
