Section8 housing and Low income housing websites?

I would like to know what is the section8 website and does anyone know when they are accepting applications again? I know that section8 is no longer accepting housing applicatioins at the monment, so does anyone know a website besides the one stated above that helps with low income housing?? I'm trying to help my parnets, please help.

1. Section 8 housing assistance is administered at the local level in most states, generally by each county or housing authority. You need to contact such agency in the area in which you live. There is no 'national' Section 8 website.
