Fort Bliss Housing......?

We are PCSing to Fort Bliss housing in July 2010. What is on post housing like? We are a family of 3 and my husband is an E-5. Is there a long waiting list and do the homes come with a garage? Army one stop housing shows 1 type of home for E-5's and it has no garage. Is this the only type of home on post for a 2 bedroom? Where is the best place to live off post in case we cant get into housing?

And since you alreadyknow that you are getting PCSed there, as soon as he gets his orders call them. Thats what we did when we found out we were coming to Scott. We were put on the waiting list and then when we got here our house was on hold for us. Good luck!!!! Aslso the link just takes you to a picture of one of their houses... You can click around different neighborhoods... when you click on each neighborhood then the discription beside the pictures of the houses says what ranks and such will stay there. I like the houses though! The look nice! EDIT--- My husband (is AF) was flown to Iraq out of El Paso... I went and stayed with him the last week of his training to say goodbye... I LOVED EL PASO! Its so beautiful! The mountains, the places, the shopping. It was so awesome! If he was Army, that would def be on our dream sheet! I loved it... There is alot to do there, and their PX is HUGE! The base was a little confusing to me because everythign was like so open and stuff, but it was still nice! im sure you are going to love it! Their houses are all adobe style homes and that rocks to me! Its so like mexican style there... its awesome! Good luck, you will love it Im sure!
