I am immigrating to Australia, what city is suitable to look for IT jobs and how to search for an apartment?

I am going to Australia as a new immigrant, I don't know anyone there and this is a new experiment for me, we are required to do some stuff as mentioned in the manual (tax number, health insurance, etc.), but first I need to find a place to settle and start searching for a job. Thanks for your help in prior.
