Where to find a event marketing/field marketing job in Chicago?

I'm a marketing professional with 3-5 years of marketing experience including event, street team, trade show, campus, promotional, liquor, and online marketing. I'm seeking a full time, entry-level/associate/experienced career in the Chicago area. Do you have any unknown sites to try besides the typical Craigslist/Monster/Careerbuilder, etc? Any other job-hunting tips from someone successful? Thanks!

  1. I would try the newspaper websites for that area. Check their employment section in the classifieds. Chicago Sun Times www.suntimes.com Chicago Tribune www.chicagotribune.com you can also try several online places, including those that are specifically for Chicago: www.chicagojobs.com Good Luck
  2. Try doing a search as if you were interested in hiring one of these companies for your own business. This will get you a good list of field marketing agencies in the city. For instance, search "field marketing agencies in Chicago" or "experiential marketing agency Chicago" and you'll get a list of good leads for agencies and groups that may be hiring. Click on any of the sites and check out the employment page. These folks market themselves pretty well (as you know working in the industry) and are always searching for new clients. Or check out the member pages for the Chicago chapter of the American Marketing Association. If that fails, both Red Bull and Potbelly Sandwich Works both had field marketing jobs posted recently.
  3. I've never been to college and I make well over $60,000 a year advertising on the internet doing Affiliate Marketing... Google Profit Club has their limited time free training program open right now... so hurry up before they stop taking new applicants. Here is the promo page.. http://sites.google.com/site/profitclubamerica
