Is this a good part for a radio deejay story? Please be honest?
In 1977, a young man moves to Oakland, CA..he's a dj and got a job offer at WMOTFM...He comes there, he's new...people listen to him, and they dont like him...they think he's bad, and outdated....the station gets low ratings...he's depressed...he wants to change his style and be better, but the manager wont let him...the manager try to run the show his way...and obviously, his way wasnt working.... The young deejay spoke to the manager, and the managaer just had a fit...they argued...and the young man felt deeply hurt by the offensive comments....one day, the young man decided to change his style and just be himself...and he just surprised listeners and got high ratings..the program director was mad at first, but as soon as he saw those ratings, he was cool...the young man saved the radio station for going out of business. Well, what do you think of that? Please be honest.

- Step one.. wrong callsign.. Almost all stations west of the Mississippi River start with a K and I believe all stations in California start with a K also (with WFAA and WOAI in Texas being the farthest west K calls I know) Step two, plausible but the Manager would be trying to get the DJ to change if the ratings weren't working. If he decided to be himself, the manager would know in a few weeks if outside common hours and within a day or so would be my guess during normal work hours. So our DJ would have to start doing his thing at night preferably late night after the manager say moved him to Midnight due to the poor ratings in the time slot. but with the reputation , didn't want to get rid of our main character at this time as some stations would. Read my other post as there is a lot of back story to make up to save the station.. as you need to know how 1970s radio worked. WKRP in Cincinnati had it right showing the nomadic life of many Djs plying their trade in the 1970s Watch the show on hulu as it was written by a real ex DJ
