I am a newly qualified electrician, how to I price up jobs?

I have always worked through agencies and carried out large scale projects, recently I have been approached to price up domestic work for some friends. I can obviously get prices for the gear, but I dont know how to price labour, do I use my hourly rate I usually get? What do you fellow electricians charge, depending on whether the job would be say half day, whole day or last longer? Thanks.

2. you look at the job work out how long it is going to take... what hourly rate you think you would like (£30 per hour would be a reasonable ammount for a self employed electrition) Work out cos of materials and then add 10% for overheads ect. (This has always worked well for my dad he is saying this to write for you lol). His company is Matrix Electrical. or if it is something like a rewire or a large job and your unsure of time you could charge £60-£80 per point. Be it a socket, light switch, light fitting ect. hope that helps a bit!
