What are the cons in affordable housing?

I need to know what the cons are for affordable housing in an already "ghetto" neighborhood. This company wants to build these apartments near my home and I need some ammo to take to a meeting this thursday. I don't want them built!! And I need to get my community involved by showing them that this is a terrible idea!!

1. You will have a bunch of low-lifes breaking into your car every night and stealing the radio to buy drugs. Shootings and violence in the street. Rapes and prostitution. Declining property values
2. they are no good anywhere. The intent is good; low prices. The result; poor people with no class, no manners, poor habits and soon, drugs come in. UNLESS they provide 24/7 on site police, the city should not even consider such a thing; and, cheap housing is now available everywhere.
3. Here is the biggest reason why I despise affordable housing and I fight it like an angry dog. The person(s) on the lease all too often are not the only people who live in a given housing unit. They allow relatives, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, gang members and other people to crowd on in. Before you know it, you've got assorted dregs of humanity living where they are not supposed to be. Here is what I would do, demand these housing units have a zero tolerance policy for non household members. If the lease says one old lady should live in apartment number 4 then that old lady gets kicked out if she is found harboring her drug addicted grandson because no one else will take him in. She also gets kicked out if she is harboring her granddaughter who goes to Harvard and is on the Deans List. Also insist on a zero tolerance drug policy. If drugs are found in any unit with or without the tenant's knowledge then the tenant and anyone else on the lease is evicted. There are plenty of fine and upstanding people who live in affordable housing. Sadly, it only takes a few rotten people to bring trouble to a neighborhood.
