If you buy a single family home around affordable housing will it affect the home value in nj?

We are looking to buy a single family home in a complex which also has affordable housing...would this reduce the home value for future resale?

  1. Here is an idea, how does the asking price of this property compare to similar properties in the same area that are not located in affordable housing zones? That should answer your question. If similar properties have higher asking prices then this affordable housing aspect is putting a drag on the value of the place.
  2. if the house already exists, the price already takes that into account what is "affordable housing" compared to what you are looking at?
