Would three hot checks affect my chances of employment at walmart home office?

I had a second interview today at walmart home office for a customer service representative. I have went to court for three hot checks in the state of arkansas and am afraid its going to affect my chances on employment. They were just misdemeanors and I am in the process of paying them off. When I filled out the background check form I disclosed that they were pending...I am freaking out! I need this job. The interviews went great though...

  1. there is no way they will hire you, sorry
  2. My answer is going to be a little bit more elaborate than the other answer you have received here. I must say that in most places of employment that conduct a thorough background check, they frown upon anything derogatory in your background. Three bad checks will not be good. But I have to ask you this, were you honest about all of the questions on the application and did you disclose this? The answer according to your question, is yes. Honesty will rule, all most all of the time and be the remedy for a chance, employment or not. I think there are two ways that they will view this. One, either you over-extended yourself financially or two you are financially not responsible. Both can pose a problem for most companies, because they want to assure themselves that they do not put themselves in a risky proposition with an employee, ie. theft and other scenarios. I think your honesty has put you in a position to land the position. It all depends on how you personally answer the questions asked at the oral part of the second interview.
