how did you guys figure out what career you wanted to do, or atleast study in school for?

i am seriously stumped on what to do with my life its my last year of high school and i still havent found what i like to do or what i would want to do in the future i just want a career that i can get into , not spend 8 years of more scschol (like doctor, nice job but i would really not rather stay in school for another 8 years) just a career where i would enjoy and make a decent or more amount of $$$$ i kno the first thing i would need to do is to find what i would like to do but i dontknow how nor i can figure it out. i dunno if its just cause i ahvent expeirenced enough out of my life so far but its a realyl tough decision i dont want to go for something and than say "i dont like it" cause then that would waste money in school it doesnt really matter whether its university or college, but how did u guys figure out wehat u wanted to do? ive tried career cruising and school student services for help but, none of that has pulled off a miracle or anything yet its very stressfull and confusing when i think about it.

1. it should be something you enjoy doing or something you have an aptitude for. just to take a job for the money or the sake of working will usually lead to dissatisfaction. list everything you like to do from watching movies to sports to reading to playing with the dog. then see how you can turn your likes into a job or relate your likes to an existing job. you are still young and can change jobs or careers if what you choose isn't to your liking. good luck!
