Need a place to live, in New York? Where can I look?
I need a place in august, I'm attending city college of new york, which is close to columbia univ. so i need a place around there. Does anyone know where i can find a place online? get in contact with people? etc. i tried craigslist but i've had no luck any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

- Unless your parents are rich and can afford to pay your rent for the time you will be attending Columbia U, I doubt you will find something affordable in that area. Try the outer boroughs like the Bronx which are cheaper but not too far for you to commute to school everyday OR you can try looking for a room mate on sites like Craigslist.org but be wary. I had 3 bad experiences with 3 different room mates from that site. :(
- No, you don't need a place near CCNY. Tons of New Yorkers don't live right near where they work or go to school. Find a place you can afford in any part of the City and take the subway!
