I applied for a job via Careerbuilder. The employer listed their phone number. Is it okay to call?

I applied for the job on the evening of January 19th so they wouldn't have gotten it until the 20th. I don't want to make a bad impression by being too pushy or desperate. Careerbuilder states that it's gotten an average number of applicants. Should I call and if so, when should I call? Thanks in advance for your help :)

1. I definitely wouldn't call yet. It's only been a few days. Wait at least a week, maybe 2, and if no word from them then call them and ask if they had a chance to review your application. Most of the time places don't even get around to lookiing at applications but if you call them and tell them you applied, they might take time to look at yours
