Who else thinks we should end prevailing wage and Government jobs where they over pay?

Our government always complains about being broke and we are in a recession and yet they spend tons of money on projects and pay people tons of money through prevailing wage. I know because i used to install pipeline and got paid less than half compared to people on government jobs. It is bull.

1. You should have worked for a union company, then you would make a livable wage for doing the work. I only do state work and I don't make more than my brother who works locally. By the time I pay for living and meals out of town plus pay for my house and food for the kids also, I actually bring home less. When you live away from home for 9 months a year and pay for 2 households, I wouldn't be non union and not be able to pay for one.
2. I don't. If you ask me, private industry and employers need to take notes on how well the government pays its employees. The government sees to it that it pays "LIVEABLE" wages while private industry pays chump change. At leat the government jobs cater to our heroic veterans while private industry barely gives them a chance and does not honor there military experience as valuable assets for their company. However, there are not enough government jobs for everybody.
3. Think the elected politicians should be on the same social programs every one else is on.
4. You should have joined a union. Don't blame others for what you failed to do.
