- The medical world holds a variety of different jobs from the obvious nurse and doctor jobs to adminstrative jobs. My sister really wanted to work in this field, but she wasn't certain precisely what she really wanted to do. She found the site in the resource box below, it has lots of instruction, and it helped her to decide what she really wanted to do. They have help with other jobs too.
- Nursing assistants are in higher demand and you will make about the same.
- With schooling, please steer clear of those online, for-profit schools (course credits may Not transfer either) such as penn foster, US career, kaplan, ITT tech, everest, sanford brown, ashworth, devry, argosy, stratford career, walden, ashworth, capella, ashford, remington and others: http://www.ripoffreport.com and can type into search. Another consumer site: http://www.complaintsboard.com (and http://www.pissedconsumer.com ) Please also forgo those private $$ career/tech schools and instead opt for the more affordable county vo-tech school or community college as long as the program is Accredited within the industry. Regarding those online/'work at home' jobs, please know that just about all are scams especially if asking for money upfront or for personal info which may put one at risk for identity theft: http://www.ftc.gov and can click 'identity theft' or such. For general career info: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search.

- Research is a big part of finding a good school so do good research up front. As for U.S. Career they are a fully accredited school and have a numbr of programs in the medical field according to their website. Transcription is one of the jobs you can do from home when you graduate for sure. Call them if you need details about the job afterwards.
