Hi, Can anyone guide me where to find furnished studio/ 1 br apartment close to Bremen University?

I am going to Bremen for 2 months, from Feb 2010 - April 2010, for a research visit. I prefer not to share a room with another student. My budget is limited, say no more than 400 Euro per month. I was looking at some listings but do not know where these different regions of Bremen are. Any help will be appreciated. Does the university has any facilities for grad. students?

1. It is rather uncommon in Germany to rent furnished ap. Most time University has some Studentenwohnheim. It is small ap where students can live usually close to the university it is necessary to rent these early since the places are limited and there are by far not enough. 2. When you want to rent something near to the university, you should look for the districts Horn-Lehe, Schwachhausen, Findorff, Osterfeuerberg, Borgfeld, or maybe Walle. The so-called "Viertel" (Ostertor/Steintor) is also an in-place. Instead of a furnished apartment, you could also look for a shared flat (Wohngemeinschaft/WG) where you would have your own room but share the flat with others. This sort of residence is quite popular among students in Germany.
