Will I run into any legal issues if I start this job website?

Hi! I have an idea for starting a niche website where I essentially search for positions in this certain specialty/area and put them all on one site, with links to their original post. I am an Executive Recruiter, and there is not a site to date with this specialty that is even close to being well organized and professional. I will also have blogs pertaining to this certain niche in the job market, etc... My question is: is it legal to re-post job ads and post a link on a site without getting permission for the author or original site? I am guessing it is, since sites like indeed and simplyhired do it on a very broad scale (although they are really more like job search engines...) Please help if you can, and let me know if any legal issues I amy face by posting other people's job openings on a site that they will not be related to in any way.... Sorry if this is confusing!:) Thanks Again for the help! nicky- exactly, I would be giving them credit and actually directing more trafic to their sites....which I would think most sites would appreciate, I just want to make sure there are no coppywriting issues with the idea. Thanks:)

  1. I do not think that it would be illegal since it is pretty much public information, there is no real author with the rights to the ads, and you would be providing the original link to the site anyway, so you are still giving them credit.
