  1. Corky Miller
  2. Pudge Mauer Bengie Molina Suzuki Torrealba
  3. I only have one: Jason Kendall. Why? Because he is one of the best catchers in the league.
  4. Kurt Suzkui Geovany Soto Pudge Rodriguez Russell Martin Jason Kendall
  5. Dioner Navarro just b/c he's on my favorite team.
  6. Soto Yadier Molina Pierzinski Varitek
  7. Jorge Posada
  8. Favorite all-round catcher would have to be Joe Mauer. Great skills as player, and from what I've read he's a nice guy off the field too. Greg Zaun also comes to mind. Here in Toronto there's a fan club called "Zaunbie Nation". You gotta feel for the guy... came to Toronto just hoping to get enough games in to qualify for the player's pension, then plays well enough to become the starter, then the Jays screw him over twice: "You've done a great job, Zaunie, handled the staff well and posted some career best numbers, but we're signing Benji Molina/ Rod Barajas to be our catcher. You can be our back-up guy" . - R.
  9. My favorite active catcher is Jorge Posada.
  10. Joe Mauer Jorge Posada
  11. Yadier Molina Best defensive catcher in baseball. Base runners may try to steal bases against him most of the time they fail. When they do succeed they stole the base off the pitcher.
  12. My favorite catcher is Jason Varitek. He definitely knows how to lead a team and help out young pitchers develop into good pitchers. Although his offense sucks now, he's still my personal favorite... I also like Joe Mauer and Russell Martin...
  13. Brian McCann Jason Varitek Dioner Navarro Russell Martin
  14. Jason Varitek is my favorite player, so he's DEFINITELY my favorite catcher.
  15. Kenji Johjima and Joe Mauer
  16. Mauer Varitek Yadier Molina Soto
  17. Carlos Ruiz and Chris Coste.
  18. Jason Varitek, great leader, respects him even if his offensive numbers are declining, and how much he means to the Sox.
  19. Jorge Posada Joe Mauer
  20. once again I see my favorite catcher is being ignored. My vote is Victor Martinez
  21. Chris Iannetta- great hitter, with solid mechanics and good attitude Brian McCann- great all-around backstop Chris Coste- great catcher with a great underdog story Corky Miller- sweet nickname Jason Varitek- the best overall of this group

  25. Russell Martin Yadier Molina Joe Mauer
  26. Joe Mauer: good D Victor Martinez: he's so nice ^^ and he's a good player Yadier Molina: he's lightning quick
  27. Bengie Molina...he is so clutch and a great clubhouse leader
  28. All up-and-coming Chris Iannetta Gerald Laird Mike Napoli The veteran Jason Varitek Fill-ins/backups Ramon Castro Javier Valentin
  29. Mine is AJ Pierzynski. He is a smart baseball player, and a guy everyone loves to hate if he's not on your team. What people forget is his defense is superior: Pierzynski holds the AL record for consecutive errorless chances with 962, breaking Yogi Berra's previous record of 950, set in 1959. He is greatly under rated.
