How do i record live karaoke singing from my work sound system to my laptop?

i am a kj(karaoke jockey) i mainly use cdg disks i have my sound system at work but i also bring in my laptop compaq presario cq50-215nr i use a converter for display graphics from my laptop to tv's, i also run an rca cable from my headphones jack to sound system for sound. i do this for karaoke/reg music i have on my laptop(in addition to my cdg disks) but what i want to do and have been tryin with no success is to record when someone is singing to my laptop so that i can burn it to a cd. Please help me im sure its somethin simple. lol... but do i need a piece of equipment whatever it is i just need to know what, how and process of being able to get the results i need. Thanks..

  1. well firstly id say: dont do it! we tried it as a band sounds shite!!!!!!!!!!!! so if you want to id say get a mic or something. but like if you have a system why bother? the quality will be better on the system than on the laptop any day.
