Why did democrats repeal the do not call list for many types of companies?
Including phone companies, political organizations, and many other loopholes.
Public Comments
- The do not call list has always excluded religious political, charity's, and people you do business with to call.
- If the company isn't selling a product or service, the DNC list doesn't apply.
- Those loopholes were instituted at the behest of Republicans. I was there when they did it. End of story.
- "Democrats" didn't do this; the exclusions were at the behest of Republicans in the House in the original legislation, and no changes have been made to it. The law was never intended to block calls from companies with which you already have a business relationship, or from non-profit organizations, which includes political and religions organizations. If you owe someone money, you won't be able to hide behind this law.
- When was this repeal passed? What bill was it? Cite the number. When was it signed? Sorry. I must have missed that one, even though I look at the House and Senate votes nearly every day.
