What are some electronic songs that just about everyone has heard at one point or another, even if not a fan?

It seems to me that a lot of people (or at least the ones I've talked to) will go "Hey, I've heard that somewhere...." when played, even if they have no idea what it's called or who it's by, because it was featured in an ad, movie, TV show, video game, sampled by another artist, etc. Have you? "Better Off Alone" - Alice Deejay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dBu5X3TvNw "Children" - Robert Miles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCbO-3hjPok "Sandstorm" - Darude http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSYxT9GM0fQ And maybe "Dragostea Din Tei" by O-Zone. xD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk7Sxpmr7wI What else is there? Thanks for the answers guys! Jimmy Jazz, might it be this one? This is the one I've heard the most often anyway, lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLr9W_VPXaY

  4. Television commercials seem to be the most common way to discover these songs. Thankfully, the Internet has made it slightly easier to find the names of these artists since the actual ads themselves want to keep it a big secret. Seems self defeating to me but what do I know? The automobile makers really like this genre. Overseer - Horndog http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKTbBuXmjTM Dirty Vegas - Days Go By http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jf0qAaqP8Gw The Crystal Method - High Roller http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQ9Wj8GyrDU The Chemical Brothers - Galvanize http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2hzVV2Nwfs Propellerheads - Spybreak! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-aqy9BYqDM Groove Armada - I See You Baby http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3taOCMQSe8 And the maybe the most recognizable song that nobody knows whodunit. Paul Oakenfold - Ready Steady Go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxG4v7fgvt4
  5. There are so many cool ones. I love this genre, I have all the Hed Kandi original complilation CDs. They sound absolutely incredible. I can't stop dancing to this one BOB SINCLAIR- World hold on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rezHrKzabZE&fmt=18 This is one hell of a song. ***** here the Hed Kandi Website from here you can explore the best of the best http://beta.hedkandi.com/Pages/default.aspx
  6. The song from Mortal Combat. I'll see if I can find it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exZOGmgyBL4&feature=related But I feel like there's a different version. Maybe I'm just remembering wrong. Street Fighter II was more my game anyway. --------------- I feel like there was one that didn't have all that silliness with the talking about the video game characters in it. Like maybe from the Mortal Combat movie. Oh well. By the way, I would like the record to show that I've not actually seen the Mortal Combat movie or any movie based on a video game for that matter. Now I to figure out where I know all the ones you posted from.
  7. Oh Yeah! by Yello (from Ferris B.'s Day Off and 'countless' other movies and commercials... Get Ready For This by 2Unlimited/rock and roll by garry glitter (both play before football games)
  8. Glory Box by Portishead. Hahaha you're right about Dragostea Din Tei. "Allo, Salute" XD
  9. Yello- Oh Yeah http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Q7FFjUpVLg Massive Attack- Teardrop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG8eQBSp9Ao ----- ooops, someone beat me to Yello. Even still, it deserves to be mentioned twice! "Bueller. Bueller. Bueller. Bueller."
  10. "... Even if not a fan." I am not a fan of electronic music and the only "song" I've heard that has been mentioned here thus far: Oh Yeah! by Yello (from Ferris B.'s Day Off and 'countless' other movies and commercials... With all the mediums that are out there for hearing music these days (radio, CDs, MP3s/downloads, internet, satellite radio, etc.) I think it's pretty easy to avoid hearing the stuff that's out there that you don't like. I don't even listen to the radio anymore and I rarely watch TV.
