where can i find out if i qualify to rent in a low income housing appartment? I dont know if i qualify and cant find the info anywhere. thanks!

1. You need to contact your local HUD office. Another resource is you state and county housing departments Good Luck
2. You have to go to the apartment manager's office and apply. This is not Section 8 were you fill out one application for approval. There is no universal qualification. You have to apply with each individual complex. Every low income complex has their own guidelines, so you really have to ask them.
3. You can start by calling your county Housing Authority. They have information about all kinds of subsidized or low-income housing.
4. There are several groups that qualify, seniors, the disabled and low income families with children. Exact income criteria literally is city specific. You can apply in 2 counties, the one you live in now and the one you work in. Depending on location it may take a few years to come up for approval.
