should i pay my apartment rent with cashier check or money order?

I will be moving into an apartment for college and my first payment is due in 2 days. Should I pay with cashier check or money order? Personal check is not an option because I don't have a check book.

1. You can pay in any way that suits you and the landlord. Cash will work fine as long as you make sure you get a receipt. You may look into setting up a checking account. They can be useful.
2. Whichever can be more easily tracked. I think a bank check (cashier's check?) would be the easiest to keep track of. And of course, always make sure to get reciepts.
3. a money order would probably be easier and cheaper. cashier's checks are issued by banks and they usually charge much more than most places do for money orders. plus you can get a money order almost anywhere. mail box stores, grocery stores, cash checking places. usually much easier to find one of those than to go to your own bank.
