Where can I find a good career aptitude test?

High school is almost up for me, and I have no idea about what I want to do, or what I'm really good at. Where can I find a good, free career aptitude test online?

  1. Choosing a career can be a veritable headache, and you desire to be certain that you take the correct decision because your career can change so many aspects of your life. A buddy of mine in recent times had a change of career and he unearthed loads of tips and tricks from the resource in the box below in advance of making his decision.
  2. I'm a freshman in college with the same problem as you. There seems to be a lot of pressure on students to know exactly where they're going and what they want to do. Most career aptitude tests aren't free, unfortunately, but I found mymajors.com to be a lot of help. It's the same principle, only they also tell you what you might like in a major. All you have to do to get your report is fill out a bunch of email addresses (I just used some old ones.) I'm going to assume you're a high school senior headed to college in the fall, or at least a high school junior about to be a senior. Figuring out what you want to do in life is really what college is all about, so you still have time before you need to make a decision. Take a bunch of random classes when you get to college, especially ones that sound like fun. If you still think you need help, make an appointment with one of the career counselors at your college. They can be a really great resource, and a lot of help when you're frustrated etc.
  3. Ah, I am a Doctor now and sometimes I have that question as well. The best I heard of is to take a 7-hour test at the Johnson O'Connor Research Foundation (they have over 9 testing sites in the U.S.). They test your innate skills: visual, audio, social, etc. etc. They're very thorough and people who took their battery of tests are usually satisfied. It isn't free though, over $600.00, but someone who took the tests there said it was her "best $600.00 spent". I'm also hugely interested to go there too, but alas I'm in Asia! http://www.jocrf.org/
