I am thinking about enrolling in the Pharmacy Technician program at Western Career College. Feedback anyone?
I am really worried about the high cost for this program because I don't know anyone that has gone to this school before. I don't want to waste $17,000 on a program that is bogus. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

- One of the fasting growing industries, and techs are indispensable as cost grows. That said, the pay is low and personal growth is poor. Pharmacists are in high demand, but after a BA (4 years) grad school is another 6 years. You're looking at 200K in loans. EDIT: a tech program should be only a few months as it's a cert rather than a degree. 17K is outrages.
- I agree 100% with the prevoius poster, the pharmacy tech program is a certification, not a degree. You should shop around for another pharmacy tech program.
- oh no sweetie Don't do this this is cr** ! spend no more than 4,000 for a pharmacy tech program, unless your going for a associates degree in pharmacy technology,There trying to rip u off , i'm a Certifiend Pharmacy technician since 2006 ,i'm IV certified and the pay is not that great for a school cost of 17,000 usually this for profit schools are so bad,go check out your local community colleges ,if u want to study online check out Pharmacy technician .org (NPTA) they have a online training program for a little over 3,000 and i 've heard from other co workers the program is great! i'm also a member of the NPTA so i do trust them.:) I earn 13.00 the hour here in texas ,from someone thats gone through the whole process and works in the area pay attention to me don't waste ur credit or money to the tune of 17.000 (they should be ashame) Best of luck !!
