Is there a list of countries Australian citizens can visit without getting a visa?
I know of a few, but what would be good is a full list of countries. Does anyone know of a list or could provide one.

- There is a program called the "Visa Waiver Program" Currently, 34 countries participate in the Visa Waiver Program: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Hope this helps! =) Further to this because of the below comment... CHECK YOUR FACTS MISSY!! These 34 Countries DO NOT REQUIRE A VISA for the first 90 days if you are already a Citizen of ONE of those Countries.. I have confirmed this with Smart Traveller & Wikipedia. I have also been to many of these Countries without having to get a VISA. Like I said you are entitled to stay in any of the above Countries for a period up to 90 days.. You automatically qualify for a Tourist Visa for 90 days & you do not need to do anything to apply for one in those Countries. If you are still a bit worried you can check on Google, Smart Traveller or Wikipedia. You can also check with your Embassy & I'm sure they will tell you the exact same thing.
- The Visa Waiver Program, mentioned by 'TICKY', is actually a list of countries whose citizens can enter the USA without requiring a visa, NOT a list of countries that Australians can visit visa free. In fact, I doubt if DFAT produces such a list as visa requirements are changing all the time. You really need to check with the embassies of the countries you intend to visit before leaving Australia, as you could find yourself unexpectedly stranded at a border post. You will also need to be aware of how long you can stay in a country if you're allowed in visa free - there's usually a time limit. Countries I know are visa free are New Zealand, Singapore, USA and Canada, United Kingdom, all Schengen Zone countries - although you can only stay a total of 90 days in the Schengen Zone. Most European countries outside the Schengen Zone are visa free, but you'll need to check carefully the visa situation in Eastern Europe eg you can get a Turkish visa at the border. There will be many more I could list but visa changes could have occured that I'm unaware of.
- Great question coz I also need to know I will read with interest as more people post
- To get a vague overview you could use the attached website. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_requirements_for_Australian_citizens .. Concerning Europe the wiki website does not provided very clear information since it distinguishes between EU and non-EU countries. This however has no relevance; there are non-EU countries which are signatory to the Schengen Agreement and EU-countries which do not participate. Australian passport holders can stay in the entire Schengen zone for 90 days within 6 months without visa. All non-Schengen countries except the former countries of the Soviet Union (Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine) do not require a prior visa to be obtained through an Embassy. http://dc.the-netherlands.org/Services/Consular_services/Visa/US_citizens/Traveling_to_the_Netherlands/Tourist_and_Business_Visa_for_the_Netherlands_Schengen/See_also/Map_of_Schengen_countries .. However before you actually travel you should check the requirements on the websites of the appropriate Embassies/Consulates. http://protocol.dfat.gov.au/Default/view.rails .. Also the IATA database can give you a brief overview. http://skyteam.com/about/travelhelp/travelinfo.html ..
