What would be a good career choice if you have a strong interest in history?

I have a very strong interest in history, every aspect of it. I love logic and working hard to figure out why things are the way they are. Being a high school junior, I need to decide what to do with my life. I would love to have history integrated into my career; however, I do not want to be a teacher by any means. Any Ideas for career choices are appreciated. This is to help me determine the best college for my future career.

2. I was going to recommend teaching before reading all your post. I guess a good option would be doing research then in some university, maybe? Archeology could be an other option.
3. Museum curator (not at art museums, but historical museums). Costume designer (if you are also into fashion). Building or home restorer (specializing in historic preservation).
