bestfriend problems and I'm leavin for the army?

kinda long but please I need your help bad! So I am not tryin to be dramatic, in fact I have not had drama in my life almost my entire HS life but this is really bugging me. My "best friend" and I have been best friends for years, we have gone through break ups and make ups with guys, we have gone through three deaths of good friends, we have gone through family problems and personal problems. EVERY weekend we were at eachothers house or doing something together but she is really pissing me off lately. When my now fiance and I got together she made fun of him for EVERYTHING and ANYTHING, I asked and told her numerous times to cut it out he meant alot to me, but she never did, she was also the reason behind alot of fights me and my fiance' had too. Well she started dating this guy who is on probabtion for beatin his ex girlfriend and many of my friends were there to witness him doing it (and of course stepped in) and I tried warning her several times he's not a good guy but she insisted everyone was lying so I just respected her enough to get along with him when need be until the night he got mad and put me in a choke hold . . . with her RIGHT there and she STILLS denies he's abusive. Everytime he would break up with her (they broke up 4 times in less than 3 months) she wanted to hang out with me and my fiance' but when he took her back she treated us like crap. Well at our HS graduation she asked to see my engagment ring, when I showed her she ragged on it non stop in front of everyone (I got to pick it out and I LOVE IT ) and started raggin on my fiance', needless to say it took all I had not to beat the livin you know what outta her. Well 2 days after graduation my fiance' who is also in the army was shipped out and she text askin if I was okay, I said "not really but I will be I just miss him alot already" and she responded with "well at least you'll get to see him again my BF left me and I won't get to see him again so stop complaining" I snapped I called her a few choice words and told her to go you know where. I myself am in the army too and I'm being now shipped out in 8 days, we have been friends for years but I can't stand who she is now, what should I do? Leave with us being P.O'd at one another or try and work it out? I also have alot of pride so it will take ALOT for me to try and work this out. what would you do? also my fiance' says I'm to nice to her already and he wants to kill her ex for puttin me in that choke hold (he was off doing something with the army when it happened) so if I do make up with her I think she owes he and I an apology, he was nothin but nice to her till she took it to far one day and talked about his family

1. That's awful. You're going to have to cut this old friend out of your life, though. It's not just her bf, or ex, being physically abusive ~ SHE's been emotionally abusive to you with those cracks she made. She must have some problems with abuse in her life ~ she's abused by her guy and abuses others ~ you! You don't deserve to be abused ... by ANYONE, including her. I don't see how she owes your fiance an apology unless she said these things to him. It'd be nice if she apologized to you, but it doesn't excuse her actions. I know it hurts to leave a sort of life long friend, but you have to put her in your past and move on to meeting real friends who treat you kindly. Maybe she'll get the help she needs and show up one day and apologize, but for now she's better off left as a memory. Good luck.
