if police are going to exercise a search warrant on an apartment, would they need to notify the office first?
would the police need to inform the office of the apartment complex prior conducting a no-knock search warrant? or maybe even get a key to the apartment so the y wouldn't have to bash the door down?
Public Comments
- no cause that would jepardise the warrant, they always do it by surprise
- What Police do and what they are supposed to do, are often very different.
- The search warrant is for you only....not the entire apartment complex. Answer the door or pay for a new door.
- The police are under no compunction to speak to anyone about a raid. The concern is that by talking to someone else, ther hand could be tipped and you might flee
- The police will often meet with a manager or someone who has a key - if none is available then get out the battering ram...
