I am an Army Reservist and have been laid off from my civilian job. I have a question about the drill pay...?

As you are probably aware, my drill weekend starts at the very end of one week (Sat) and ends at the very beginning of the followingg week (Sun). Unfortunatelyy, this prevents me from earning any net gain, since I have to declare half of my drill earnings from Saturday on one week, and Sunday's earnings the following week. Here is my question... If I were to take the entire amount for both Saturday and Sunday and declare them on one week (as opposed to two), will the employment commission know when exactly it was that I worked? Is this system automated or are discrepanciess detected by random audits? Sorry to sound like I am cheating the system, but I can not possible afford food/electricity/house payment/etc on unemployment alone. I am aggressively seeking employment, and may well have an offer within the next week. By the way, I live in Virginia.

Why don't you apply for an AGR (active guard/reserve) position? See if there are any openings and if there are...poof! You've got a full time job again.
