Renting an apartment flat in Edinburgh?

Hi - I'm relocating abroad this year and was looking for a modern apartment in Edinburgh that is close to the university. Can anyone speak to the Lady Nicholson apartments on Potterrow? It's also a hotel (aka Spiegel Hotel) that has pretty good ratings. It's a tad expensive - but I have yet to see other units in the private market that can match the finishings and 'newness' of this....that is also within a 5 minute walk to the Library.
