Did Walmart deny my employment?

I applied at Walmart 2 weeks ago and they said i got the job but needed to do the drug test n backround check. passed the drugtest. I have a marijuana possession misdemeanor i admitted to on the backround check. its been 2 weeks and i got a call saying the backround check place is sending me a letter that i need to sign and send back. is this a letter saying im not getting the job? the manager he said they had a question but i dont know if he was lying or knew really,. i'm really worried cuz i really want and need this job. any legit answers would be apprecaited.

1. Wouldn't it be easier to ask Wal-Mart? Any answers you get here will be purely speculation, and unlikely to allay your concerns. My bet is the letter is some sort of authorization they need to do the background check. If Wal-Mart was going to dump you, they wouldn't still be talking about your background check. If you're still worried, phone Wal-Mart and ask. They're the only ones who can properly answer your question.
2. Without a crystal ball, how do you expect ANYONE to actually know that that letter says?
3. Probably got the job at walmart. they want you to sign a letter saying you will not do that again. keep asking the HR, they will let you know. I'm guessing.
