other than ebay, craigslist, and autotrader, where can i find a 1955-56 cov. ford around houston or NCarolina?

i need to find a 1955 or 1956 convertible top ford around houston or north carolina for a reasonable price. car must also be in decent condition and would like to be original but doesn't have to be. i have looked on craigslist, ebay, and autotraderclassics and didn't find anything in the area worth buying or that wasn't way too expensive. i just don't know any other websites to look at.

  1. So you can find the car you want but you just can't afford to pay the asking price. Too bad. You are figuring out that vintage cars worth owning aren't cheap. If you really want one you gotta pony up the cash to play the game.
  2. In our area, the local TV station has a classifieds website. I just looked up what you're interested in, and there were two T-birds with removable hard tops...but very pricey--$20-25k. Have you contacted a Ford collector's club? I was interested in a Packard once, and the people from their website were really friendly and helpful. They might know where you could look. Good luck!
