Applying for HUD and wondering where to start..?

I'm looking towards applying for affordable living with the Department of Housing and Urban Development. How does one do this? What are the qualifications? I would appreciate any help or advice necessary. Thanks, everyone.

1. You will need to call your local HUD office for assistance. Here is the direct link to the HUD housing page. Scroll towards bottom left and click on the link for more info. They will tell you the qualifications and process. Better to get it straight from them as they are the ones that process and approve housing. http://portal.hud.gov/portal/page/portal/HUD/program_offices/housing
2. You apply with the housing authority. The basic requirements are that you are either disabled and living on disability, a senior and living on social security or a family with children where all adults work at least 35 hours a week but earn well below the median income for your county.
