List Only

I am looking for job search sites online. I am currently using the following?

Monster, Hot Jobs, Job Planet, Craigslist, Backpage.com, & a few others. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go to look for job search sites online? I am NOT looking for work at home stuff nor am I looking for door to door sales crap or anything of that nature. IF you live outside of the USA please do not respond as it will not help me. I live in the Southern California area in San Diego.

  1. Go to your local news papers website and look in the classifieds. A lot of employers will list their because, in general, it is a lot cheaper than listing with the big online sites like monster, etc. Or you can just go pick up a paper and check the classifieds.
  2. Careerbuilder.com "your town here"help wanted.com
  3. Government's website: www.usajobs.gov/
  4. I would try CareerBuilder.com and Snagajob.com. I've used those and applied to several jobs, and gotten calls back from them.
  5. I'd recommend Indeed.com - a job search engine that searches most of those sources you mention all at once. The search process is easy: just enter a job title or keywords and location. You can filter out the crap - in fact the search engine does a lot of that for you before you search - and you can even use negative terms too like -home or -sales. Just enter a minus symbol (-) followed by the term you don't want included.
