  1. My friends hamster did the same thing, And her hamster died Im not saying that he is going to die, I am Just listing the Possibility That he can. I would Move him back were he was he probably wasn't adusted to the tempeture because, It might seem that it would be the same tempeture but it isn't, He might be Cold or Too Hot. Which if it is too hot for him He might cook So you might need to move him back.
  2. You can't really do much since you can't take him to the vet. Just leave him alone. Don't pick him up or bother him. Make sure that he has access to fresh water and food. Wait a couple of days and see if he's back to normal. If not, I don't know. Take him to vet as soon as you are able to.
  3. Ok so he's sitting and rocking back and forth? And do you have any other pets there or did someone scare you little furry friend? =O And the reason your furry friend bit you is cause he sint tamed yet! =) So afetr this you can start taming you little friend! And maybe he's ill too if you cant take him to the vet or buy any medications try letting your hammy go back upstairs for a night and keep an eye on him. See if anything is wrong or his reaction. And look at him for a few minutes observe his body and movement is there anything wrong with his leg? Is there an injured place? And maybe he is having overgrowth from his teeth! Maybe 1 reason he bit you. So get a chew stick for him or I recommend getting a "Mineral block/lick/stone (as long as its solid and it has the word miineral on the front) and give it to your furry friend! He'll love it! He'll be all whats this? And bite it and will taste some mineral/taste and will bite on it more to get the mineral taste he likes =) And it'll help whiten his teeth and prevents his teeth from overgrowth and gives ur hammy mineral and it'll prevent dehyrdration for the little guy and in the summer when its hot he can go sleep on it cause its cool! (my hammy Bubble does this!) So try my little advice and see what happens! If it doesnt help email me and ill try to help! =D
  4. Okay, I'm going to ask you for a couple more details to see if we can figure out what this is. It's unfortunate that you didn't ask the previous owners any questions. Do you know how old the hamster is, at least? It could simply be that the hamster is old. They don't often live more than a year and a half. Do you have him in his original cage? What kind is it? Does he have access to plenty of good food and water? Have you given him any fruits or vegetables recently? And how long has your hamster been unable to walk? This might seem like a lot of questions, but it would really help to know.
  5. Check to see if his bum is wet. If so, go to your pet store and get some supplement for wet-tail. He might've been sick before but hamsters don't show signs of struggle until they really can't handle it. Always have fresh food and water available for him. Keep him in a nice environment where there is no draft or sunlight. If anything, call a pet store, they should know small animals well enough to help you out.
  6. Is your hamsters bottom wet? He may have wet tail. But yah never know. Wet tail can be deadly. You may want to read more about it online. My hammie got it last week and we got her medication. She is doing better now but its fatal to hamster.
