Would apartment rent be lower at purchase if there are less residents?

Say you are applying for apartment rent... If you said that there were only going to be 2 people living there and not three, would they rent it too you for a lower price?

2. No. The cost of rent is for the property as a whole. However, there may be a limit on the number of people living in one property so if you rent a property saying there will be only 2 of you but there is actually 3 then the chances are you will be evicted when they find out (which they will). Make sure you always read your contract carefully and know fully what you are signing up for. Good luck :)
