  1. try http://www.spotthings.com because it collects data from all over the internet.
  2. Fact is, this is 2010, and you can't expect to get a car that runs for $800. In 1980 you could, but not now. Expect to pay about $2000 for a running used car. Craigslist is an excellent source for such vehicles.
  3. Only place I know to buy a car under $800 is a salvage yard.
  4. For $800 you'll have to be a great bargain finder, but it is not impossible. Hope you have someone you can count on to give you mechanical advise when you have one you're looking at. You could put an ad in your newspaperk, check the want ads, any local advertising papers, ask your local dealers if they've had any running trade-ins that they are sending to auction. Local second hand shops sometimes know someone trying to sell a car. There are also some sites online ebay, shopgoodwill.com, and cars for causes (if you live close to where they are and can go inspect before you buy). Actually they often have pretty nice older cars for reasonable prices. Curious, you can't drive alone at 15 can you, so why the hurry? Becoming a car owner also means, taxes, tags,gas/maintenance, and insurance...
  5. I dont understand why you wont use craigslist. its really a very popular site, yes there are scams, but you have to not be stupid and if you believe the ones that are on there and get scammed you deserve it. The scams are always, " I have this 2 year old car for 2,000. You call, and they say yeah, but its in.... some other state far away, i'll need 500 down to get it down here to ya... dont give money to someone you dont know for a car you haven't seen. .. My favorite is whenthey have like new escalades for 4,000 or something.. Dont be dumb. If your looking for an 800 car. Expect it to be beat up and no a/c etc. But runs and drives. Thats what you should expect. Autotrader.com is another site, but i dont think you'll find one for 800. You can always use Ebay.com you can sometimes find one on there. there is also ebayclassifieds.com
