I applied for Section 8 Housing in Cali and I'm on the waiting list. How do i transfer to a different state?

1. You don't transfer. You will have to move to the other state,set up residency and then apply for section 8 where you have moved to.
2. I have no idea,call or visit on line the place you applied in CA.Im sure they will tell you what to do.

4. Never head of the state of Cali, but why don't you just get a job and pay your own rent instead of applying for section eight housing, like other hard working tax payers???????? Or go back to Mexico, Africa, or where ever you came from.
5. You don't. You apply again in your new county after you move.
6. You cannot transfer your application from California to another state. Every county has its own jurisdiction. You have to move to the other state and apply in that county. If you are moving anyway, you can still keep your name on the California waitlist and when you are notified, you can return to California. Thats what I did because it was 4 years before i got a voucher and I could not afford to stay in California. BTW please dont call it Cali. I am a native and an older person and dont like that name.
