will section 8 housing kick you out for a misdemeanor?

My mom has been living in section 8 housing for 10yrs. Last year she was charged with a misdemeanor for domestic violence. She just received the application to see if she is still eligible but she is scared she is going to get kicked out. Thanks for your help.

1. They "can". It does not always end up that way though.
2. Usually only felonies will disqualify you. I have heard they have rules against any drug related misdemeanors and often disqualify you for committing any offense on the property. My answer is based on things I have heard. I would imagine she received rules regarding what type of conduct would disqualify her.
