What are the chances of people buying something on craigslist in a well populated city?

I'm thinking of selling an ipod touch, and say i live in a town with well over 500000 people. What are the chances my item getting bought. Other question i wanted to ask too: Also, are a'lot of items sold on craigslist?

1. Very good. I live in the suburbs about 15 minutes outside of Boston and every time I have posted something to Craigslist I have gotten responses within the hour. 100% success rate, craigslist is an invaluable tool when it comes to pawning shiz.
