How do I get over housing anxiety and just learn to deal with new life and people?

Situations beyond my control have forced me to move out of my parents and start looking for housing. I've had very little and restless sleep for the past 3 nights (can't sleep now btw.) I know that I'm going to need to change EVERYTHING, all of my mail, surroundings, pretty much my entire life. I'm only in my early 20's but I've lived at home for all my life.

  2. Just think of all the positive aspects that living on your own will provide. Find a way to make your new place as familiar-feeling as possible (familiar furniture, posters, arrangement, etc.), and find something to keep yourself busy so that the anxiety doesn't have as much time to kick in. Think of it as a way to make new friends, become familiar with a new area, etc., instead of a huge, monstrous change that will make everything different. A lot of people don't live away from their parents until they start college. You might be a few years later than those of us that moved into dorms around the age of 18, but it's still early enough in your life that you'll be able to adjust as long as you go into it with a positive attitude.
