The housing authority won't pay my section 8 tenant's rent. What should I do?
I just purchased a property with a section 8 tenant, and after 2 months the housing authority still hasn't paid any rent. I keep calling and hassling them, but they always have an excuse. What should I do? Awesome Qweet, thanks for the great answer!

- You should just boot the sob out of your building and quit helping to support low life garbage and their freeloading ways.
- Evict the tenant. Rent not paid is grounds for eviction
- system was down, not sure if you got revised answer...hope it helps. Call board of supervisors for that county, make sure you have the correct district. You file a complaint against the housing authority, be sure to have on hand dates, times and contacts to give to them. If you get the complaint in before noon, they usually get back to you or have someone from agency up high to contact the same day.
- If tehy do not pay the tenant should be. Time to evict the tenant, you should have done that 2 months ago. They lost their voucher, section 8 will never pay.
