Looking for jobs online, which site is best (Career builder, Monster, etc)?

I'm looking for jobs in the writing field, maybe translation or tutoring, as well. I have a BA in Journalism and minors in Spanish and Italian. I'm willing to look into a different/but related field. My question is, which web site is the most reliable, and how is it possible to get the most attention from online job searching? I'm a member of career builder, for instance.

  1. www.indeed.com For your safety, I recommend that you use indeed.com as job search only. If that particular company has a website, it is better that you submit your resume directly with them instead of indeed.com for security reasons. I don't trust anyone with my identity, considering all my personnel Information are on my resume.
  2. Career builder is the top site. Monster used to be 10 years ago, but it has lost a lot of clout in the job market. You should also visit craigslist for jobs.
  3. www.indeed.com is really great, as well as www.higheredjobs.com if you are considering teaching or would even want an administrative job or job in a language dept at a school. I used to use Careerbuilder, but it's so horrible lately, with all of the 'fake' job advertisements and spam on there. Many companies have stopped posting jobs on that site altogether. Hope this helps.
  4. Monster is the best website for jobs.
