Thinking of moving to Seattle and wondering what area of town is the nicest and decently priced for married couple with no children in West Seattle. 1. West Seattle is fine as long as you're close to Alki. Keep away from the southern part of West Seattle because that gets into White Center, one of the scariest and worst neighborhoods. There are some surprisingly cheap apartments on Mercer Island to, if you take a look there
