I once heard a deejay say that the dumbest Brit sounds smarter than the smartest Southerner. Do you agree?

It was a Southern Deejay and I am a Southerner by the way, with no accent.

1. You do have an accent. Everybody does. Penelope Pitstop sounded pretty dumb.
2. I don't mind Southerners and all, but you guys usually talk like you're retarded with the lonnnnnng drawwwwwl....and I think British people sound half gay If I thought which one sounded smarter though, I'd have to say British
3. It is believed that because of the british accent, that they sound more intelligent than a lot of the other accents out there. But then, it may just be a stereo type. But as for the southerners, they are always portrayed in movies and televisions shows as being "stupid", "inbred", and "redneck". When this kind of stereo type is always displayed, and allowed to be displayed, then people do begin to believe it.
