If my friend received "Full Financial Aid" will she have to pay anything for attending Western Career College?
One of my friends went to a similar school and she got the bill once she finished. Another friend recently enrolled in Western Career and she believes she will not pay a thing. I am concerned, very concerned that the recruiter has her convinced...

- "Full financial aid", hunh? She probably did get "full financial aid", but the key thing in all this is that she needs to understand what that actually means. Financial aid consists of two things: grants that you do not have to pay back, and loans, which you do have to pay back. Career schools tend to be expensive, and thus the grants, like the Pell Grant, that you get from the US government via FAFSA won't cover the whole tuition, so you'll have to take out loans. If she went to a community college (reputable and cheap), it's quite possible that her grants would cover her entire education, and she'd graduate owing nothing. But if she goes to Western Career College, I'd bet dollars to donuts that she'll have to take out a lot of student loans, and she will have to pay those back when she graduates. The college should have given her a financial aid award letter. The letter will state what she got in grants, and what she got in loans. If you tell her about what the loans are all about, that'll give her an idea for what she's getting herself in for at this school.
- I agree with RoaringM that Pell Grant will not cover the whole tuition, so you'll have to take out loans. In addition, remember financial aid expects for you (or your family depending if you are a dependent) to contribute to the cost of your education. They will not automatically pay the whole tuition of a school just because you like to attend a particular educational institution.
