Does these deals for apartments in houston, tx sound to good to be true?
I'm seriously thinking about moving to texas once my lease is up next Aug. Currently I live in Chicago, IL and I'm tired of the brutal cold winters. Half of my family is down in texas and they are begging me to move there. In fact, I'm in texas right now for christmas vacation. The cost of living is soooooooo cheap and I believe my job can transfer me down here. I'm just shocked of how cheap these apartments are!. http://houston.craigslist.org/apa/2126485545.html or http://houston.craigslist.org/apa/2117240016.html or http://houston.craigslist.org/apa/2101917090.html

- Never sign contracts, leases or send any money to any landlord or property owner based on on-line information. Since you're there use some of your holiday to scope out apartments with your own eyes. If you get the transfer just stay in a cheap motel for a few weeks and apartment-hunt properly.
- The costs of living is less in Houston than Chicago. These listing may be scams- they often are. Visit the apartments yourself with the landlord or manager. Sign any papers in person after those visits.
