Best time to move to New York City?
I put an ad on craigslist about apartments and got about 30 good responses. Will there always be that many or was it just because it's the end of the year? I've used Craigslist for apartments in other cities. I know there are lots of scams, that's why I said I got 30 "good responses," I got 30 bad ones too. I'm looking for rooms/shared houses, if that makes a difference.

- I hate to break it to you, but most of those responses from Craigslist are likely scams. You can always find something, but you'll need a good job & great credit.
- Well, watch out for Craigslist, it's FULL of scammers (see link, below), but, yes, there are thousands and thousands of apartments in New York City, and there are thousands of people moving into and out of them every month, so, yes, there's usually a lot of "stock" available. The problem is that it's all VERY expensive, and you have to have a spotless credit history to qualify. Good luck!... ☺
