Need Advice on Low Natural Light Apartment?

My lease was ending last month and I was pressured to find another apartment since my then roommate's girlfriend was moving in. I just moved in to my one bedroom apartment but I am so unhappy in it because it gets barely any natural light. I am really upset about it. I could go ahead and try and sublet it out and find another apartment, but that means paying another finder's fee and orchestrating the timing right of signing a new lease and finding a subletter. I just don't know what to do. Maybe I should just live it with it, as its only for 9 mos, in a good location, and I like everything else about the apartment???

  1. So buy some better lightening fixtures and lamps. Plenty give the equivalent of day light
  2. I would just deal with it for the next 9 mos and be more aware of the lighting in the next place. Trying to find a subletter, paying fees and moving sounds a bit more than you would want to do just because of the lack of natural lighting.
